Just two weeks after the Season 2 Finale, Pilipinas Got Talent is back on ABS-CBN for the 3rd Season. Pilipinas Got Talent is the Philippine Version of the Got Talent Franchise.One of the acts that caught my attention is the act of Brothers Jefferson and Kurt Bringas. They are from Bansalan, Davao Del Sur, Philippines.
Kurt Bringas is a cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer of the Bone. Last 2006 at the age of 19, his left leg was amputated. The cancer spread on his lungs, liver and other parts of the body and he was given by the doctor only a month more to live. It is a miracle that he is alive.
The brothers sang “After All” by Peter Cetera and Cher. The judges were impressed by their performance.
They were also requested to do another song. They sang “Bumuhos Man ang Ulan” by Jericho Rosales.
When asked about their love life, Jefferson said that he liked a girl before. He prayed to the Lord that girl would be his girlfriend. But when Kurt was diagnosed, he prayed to the Lord that it is okay not to have the girlfriend as long as his brother would survive cancer.
Kurt also tried to have a girlfriend but was rejected. He thinks that he was rejected because of his physical condition that was brought by cancer.
They got 3 yes votes from the judges. Kris Aquino said that they will be stars. Luis Manzano, who is filling for Aiai Delas Alas, said that he wanted them to be on his every date to serenade. Freddie M. Garcis aka FMG said that their voice blending is fantastic and their guitar playing is good.
They are really good. Jefferson showed how much he loves his brother. Kurt proved that whatever happened in his life, this will not be a hindrance to showcase their talent to the world. This episode of Pilipinas Got Talent made me feel proud to be a Filipino. Please share your thoughts and comment.
