Here is a contestant from the second episode of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3, the Philippine Version of the Got Talent Franchise.
He is Geo Ed Rebucas. He is 20 years old and a Nursing graduate. He is from Zamboanga Del Sur, Philippines. He is a part time Stand-up Comedian in a Comedy Bar. He is a host and a singer in the bar.
He joined Pilipinas Got Talent Season 3 because this is his dream. His family and friends are very supportive of his dream. He wants to showcase his talent to the world.
He sang “Through The Rain” by Mariah Carey. During the first lines that he sang, the host, judges and the audience were instanly impressed. His voice resembled the voice of Mariah. The falsetto that Mariah is well know for was done by Geo very well. When you close your eyes, you will surely hear the voice of Mariah. The theater was filled with excitement especially when he hit the high notes. Everyone went crazy while he was singing. The scene reminded me the same feeling that everyone felt when Season 2 Grand Winner auditioned for the first time.
When asked if he is gay, Geo admitted that he is.
The judges were really impressed. Aiai Delas Alas said that she is very happy and that Geo is very good. She added that his singing, his falsetto, his shifting and even his looks are great. Kris Aquino said that Geo has nice teeth. She said that Geo will go far. Freddie M. Garcia aka FMG gave him a standing ovation. He said that he was surprised.
Even hosts Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford said that they were blown away with his performance.
He got 3 yes votes from the judges and will be added to the shortlist of possible Semi-Finalists. Geo is really good. I hope we will see more of him in the future.
